Welcome to LearnKana! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the LearnKana website, located at https://learnkana.today.tokyo, and any related services provided by Mateusz Prowans (the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. User Accounts

a. Eligibility: You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account and use the Service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

b. Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your account password and for any activities or actions under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

2. User-Generated Content

a. Your Rights: You retain copyright and any other rights you already hold in the content you create and submit to the Service, including your custom wordlists ("User Content").

b. Grant of License: By creating User Content and setting its visibility to "Public" or "Unlisted," you grant:

• A worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to us (LearnKana) to use, host, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Service.
• A license to other users of the Service to view, use, copy (including via JSON download), and study your User Content for their personal, non-commercial educational purposes.

c. Private Content: User Content set to "Private" is not licensed to us or other users in the manner described above and will only be accessible to you when logged into your account.

d. Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of posting or publishing it. You affirm that you have the necessary rights to the content you post.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Post any content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, obscene, or hateful.
• Violate the privacy or intellectual property rights of others.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the Service.
• Use the service for any commercial purpose without our express written consent.

4. Termination

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes by posting the new Terms on this site. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
